Amazing diving, and a cultural experience with the Bedouin
It is a diving trip for which we use Camels as transport to either Gabr el Bint or Ras abu Galoum National park, only accessible by camel or boat.
A fantastic way to experience Sinai's authentic diving, meet the Bedouin, feel the desert and get to explore untouched and remote dive spots.
The nice thing about the Camel Diving Safari that it can be done in one day, overnight, or for several days, You just need to decide how much fun you want to have !
Here are our most popular Camel Diving safari programs – north and south of Dahab
Camel Diving Safari (1 day incl. Camel rides, 2 dives, Bedouin lunch)
Here is how we do it!.
Get a briefing of the whole program on the day before.
With your guide leave early morning (6-7am) by jeeps to the Blue Hole (north of Dahab), meet the camels there (tell your guide if you need to polish up your camel riding skills!)
Cruise on the camel up and down for about an hour and half passing by a series of fantastic land and sea views.
Get there, rest, grab some Bedouin tea from close to the fire, listen to your dive briefing and off you go for your first dive, come out of the water, more tea! Sunbath, relax, and get the Bedouin lunch cooked fresh for you, and then rest some more :) before you do your second dive.
After all is done, back to Blue Hole on the camel, afterwards by jeep again back to Mirage.
It is nice, Ha?
For a Camel Diving Safari to Gabr el Bint in the morning you will be going by jeep to the Caves (South of Dahab) instead of Blue Hole (north of Dahab), and it is also one and half hour trip with Bedouin lunch included.
Overnight Camel Diving Safari
Camel rides, 5 dives (1 night dive), Bedouin food, sleep overnight in a Bedouin hut under the bright stars.
And again here is how we do it!
With your guide leave in the morning (6-7am) by jeeps to the Blue Hole (north of Dahab), meet the camels there (tell your guide if you need to polish up your camel riding skills!)
Cruise on the camel up and down for about an hour and half passing by a series of fantastic land and sea scapes.
Get there, rest, grab some Bedouin tea from next to the fire, get your diving briefing and off you go for your first dive.
Come out of the water, more tea! Sunbathe, relax, and get the Bedouin lunch cooked fresh for you, and then rest some more before you do your second dive.
After the second dive, hang around, walk along the beach, do yoga or do whatever you like until the night dive time (recommended), once you are out of the water get ready for a fresh cooked Bedouin dinner and a fantastic quite night under the stars.
Once you finish your entertainment, get your mattress and blanket (sleeping bag) and have a good night :)
In the early morning you can do your first dive before or after breakfast, plan your 2 dives for the day with your guide, get your lunch and then on the camels back to Blue Hole, in the jeep and back to Mirage.
In case of Camel Diving Safari to Gabr el Bint in the morning you will be going by jeep to the Caves (South of Dahab) instead of Blue Hole (north of Dahab), with all the above included as well.
