Here is a short story of Mirage Divers Diving Center and Hotel

Historically, most visitors to Dahab have been backpackers travelling independently and staying in hostels in the Masbat area of Dahab. but the quality of accommodation was not the issue in those times.

The idea of making a place that helps all those backpackers and travelers to find good accommodation and reasonably priced activities, especially diving, has grown in the head of the native Sinai Bedouin (Ali Mohamed Ayish - who started working in the Dahab diving industry more than 20 years ago)

Then Mirage Village Hotel was founded and designed 20 years ago in the heart of Dahab midway between the two stunning dive sites "The Light House" and "Eel Garden", with the Sinai mountains behind and an uninterrupted view of the mountains of Saudi Arabia across the crystal blue Gulf of Aqaba.

Mirage Village started as only 2 rooms and a name chosen by an Australian girl who thought that the whole of Dahab was a mirage.

The idea of Mirage Village Hotel was inspired by the vision to be a luxury Bedouin camp that scuba divers can feel at their best and always remember the beautiful old days of Dahab through Bedouin hospitality at its finest.

With the owner being a diving instructor himself, Mirage Village was offering diving courses and diving trips to be done with an affiliated dive center nearby until new rules and regulations took place in Egypt's diving industry.

Then Mirage Divers diving center was established to fulfill the real vision of the place, and within less than 2 years Mirage Divers became one of the most well known diving centers in town offering professional, safe and fun diving services.

Now, Mirage Divers diving center is a 5* PADI Dive Resort, CDWS member and EUF certified center for European Recreational Diving Services according to the international EN & ISO Standards.

Mirage Divers dive center offers a wide range of PADI diving courses from basic to pro level and even for juniors. Employing a team of international instructors teaching in many different languages to suit everyone's needs and comfort. and the policy is to cater to each individual's needs hoping to make their diving course and trips an unforgettable experience.

Since more than 20 years, Mirage Village Hotel has developed a reputation for its high-quality facilities and service plus its friendly Bedouin atmosphere.

Mirage Divers Diving Center & Hotel is in the quiet part of the beach though with a short 2 minutes walk you will be in the main touristic and bazaars area.

Mirage Village Hotel has 25 rooms, so it is smaller and friendlier than other hotels of similar quality. All rooms are arranged on two floors around a central courtyard with BBQ lounge for group use.

Rooms have their own terrace or balcony overlooking the courtyard and the Red Sea. Rooms may accommodate up to three beds, offering a budget option for student divers or families.

Our guests particularly appreciate the wide choice of places to eat and drink on our premises. The amazing Bedouin Corner offers dinner by candlelight in a unique atmosphere and the free Bedouin tea is a must. Mirage restaurant serves a full breakfast buffet or a la carte, and a menu which features European, traditional and original Bedouin meals on request, all of which may be enjoyed indoors or outdoors (Bedouin Corner plus the coffee shop terrace with direct sea view).
