Blue Hole (Bells to the Blue Hole)

One of the top dive sites in the world!

Situated about 12 km north of Dahab and now with easy driving access with jeeps, thanks to the new road built in 2004.

The Blue Hole is a magnet for everyone who loves the sea and is visited daily by scuba divers, Tec divers, snorkelers and free diving record breakers. It is a perfect multilevel dive from the Bells to the Blue Hole itself (about 250 meters along a fantastic lively wall). So we start with walking about 2 min. until we get to the entrance to the Bells - a chimney going down to 32 meters enriched with the sun rays giving the dive an excellent start. At about 24 meters there is a little arch where we go through to the crystal blue which is one of the best parts of the dive.

By the time you are flying through the water with the wall to the right, the blue to the left, a sheer drop off below and sun rays playing tricks you will know that you are having one of the best dives of your life! :)

We continue along the wall getting shallower until we get to the lively stunning saddle of the Blue Hole at 7 meters. The view once you pass it and enter the Blue Hole is a breathtaking one with a huge circle of blue clear water 110 meters depth- 150 meters wide. Swim across or around for our safety stop until we reach the exit point of this incredible dive.

Guidelines

• Keep to a maximum depth of 30 meters and dive only to your certification limits.
• Do not get too excited with the blue and maintain 30 meters as max, especially after exiting the chimney.
